ANTONI PINTAT MAS

Chairman Creand

The Creand fonts d’Art gallery is open to the network, exhibiting part of the Creand art collection which contains works that have been curated and expanded upon for more than 30 years. From the very beginning, we wanted to curate a collection in which the quality of the works took priority over the quantity, selecting masterpieces by major Catalan artists. As an organisation deeply rooted in the country, we also feel a great sense of satisfaction at having contributed to recovering two works of outstanding historical value. From now on, these gems of our national heritage are on display for all the world to see. They are the predella of the altarpiece of Sant Miquel de Prats and one of the central panels depicting the appearance on Mont Gargan. The Creand Fons d’Art was conceived in the 1980s thanks to a well-thought-out, enthusiastic decision by the Board of Directors. We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to all those who have contributed.

XAVIER CORNELLA CASTEL

Chief Executive Officer Creand

In art, culture finds one of its richest manifestations, expressed in a broad range of disciplines that unite artist and public in a willingly shared context of time and space. The Creand Fons d’Art embodies our desire to share with you a collection of works by different artists, from different times and art movements, selected over the last 30 years with due artistic care and rigour to become, as a whole, one of the most important art galleries in the country. I invite you to gain a window into the golden age of Catalan painting through the works by artists such as Ramon Casas, Santiago Rusiñol, Isidre Nonell, Hermen Anglada Camarasa and Joaquim Mir, complemented by a unique collection of 18th-century Catalan clocks. The collection is truly a jewel in the crown of Andorran cultural heritage.  We would love to open everyone’s eyes – students, critics and the general public – with the aim of stimulating, promoting and disseminating knowledge and culture.
