Above Pulcheria’s head, the hand of god (dextera dei). On the reverse, Victoria with wings with a large jewelled cross in her right hand and a star behind the wings. Surrounding the figure, the legend VICTORIA AVGGG(ustorum trium). On the exergue, CON(stantinopoli) OB(ryzum), i.e. minted in Constantinople and made from pure gold.
