Sergi Mas formulates in this work a summary proposal of the Marratxa dance. In a close-up, the dancer offers an “almorraxa”, a kind of glass pitcher containing water and perfume, to the dancer. The characters wear traditional clothes such as the top hat with Andorran ribbon, the Vigatanese espadrilles or the lace mantle.

The girl holds in her hands a bouquet of daisies, the national flower of Andorra, symbolic of the 7 Andorran parishes.
The representation continues in the background, in the space between the two characters, where the artist presents a zigzag composition, illustrating architecture and elements of Sant Julià de Lòria, in the middle of different manor houses and borders. In the foreground appears the Font del Coms. In the second and third areas, there are some Romanesque chapels of the parish, such as Sant Serni de Nagol, Sant Esteve de Bixessarri, Sant Pere d’Aixirivall or Sant Romà d’Auvinyà.

Sergi Mas received the commission in 1977 at the initiative of the General Directorate of Crèdit Andorrà to create a mural piece for the bank office. The proposal had to have a theme and content specific to the parish where the office was located.

The mural is currently on temporary loan for public exhibition inside Casa Comuna in Sant Julià de Lòria.
