Noucentist sculpture, although it belongs to a younger generation than the classic movement. New and personal structures of the composition, with new themes that had been treated little in contemporary sculpture. Together with the sculptors Josep Viladomat, Apel·les Fenosa and Josep Granyer, he founded the Evolucionistes group in 1917, a group of artists within the context of the Catalan Noucentisme who propose modern but also traditional reactionary art, within figurative art , against the stereotyped and classicist noucentism. His work reflected the style of the moment, a synthesis between the archaic world, classicism and modernity.

Rebull established a commercial relationship with Joan Merlí, a modern art dealer who was dedicated to the commercialization of Rebull’s terracotta sculptures made from limited and numbered editions.

In his last stage, he created works of public sculpture, especially in Barcelona and in the monastery of Montserrat.
In 1981 he was awarded the Gold Medal of the Generalitat in recognition of his artistic work.
