Most of Alfred Sisquella and Oriol’s works are portraits, but he also painted highly realistic still lifes or landscapes around Sitges. Of the portraits, the Antònies stand out, those of his wife, Antònia Rambla. The will in the capture of the figure is in the moments of internalization, but it puts it in a restful and reflective attitude. Antonia was portrayed prolifically and became the model with whom the portrait would evolve.

Alfred Sisquella first decided towards avant-garde, but soon abandoned it in favor of a crude realism that corresponds to the New Objectivity.
In 1923 he settled in Sitges and in 1925 Alfred Sisquella entered the payroll of Sala Parés painters, with a long-term contract, a common practice among major international art dealers. He did it influenced by the painter Joaquim Sunyer and sponsored with a letter of recommendation from Joaquim Mir. The art gallery in Carrer de Petritxol followed a direction oriented towards a figurative canon, and Sisquella belongs to it together with the painters Humbert, Llimona, Togores, Puigdengolas and Mompou.
